EVENT : Twin Day
The Cultural Committee of our college organized a celebration called "Twin Day on 30 November 2022, Wednesday. In keeping with the spirit of the day, students wore matching clothing that reflected the theme of Tween Day. This added an element of unity and cohesion among the students, emphasizing the importance of working together towards a common goal.
Overall, event perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the college community.
EVENT : Teachers Day
Cultural committee of Nirmala College celebrated Teachers Day on 5 September 2022,Monday
Teachers facilitate learning, spread knowledge and push us to be curious and excel-they deserve to be acknowledged, thanked and appreciated for all they do. India, National Teachers Day is celebrated on September 5, to mark the birth anniversary of the country's second President Dr. SarvepalliRadhakrishnan. To celebrate this special day students of the college load organised special musical program for their teachers Students offered roses, chocolates, gifts including handmade cands to profess their affection for their favourite teachers. Thus the day was celebrated with lots of fun & enthusiasm in the College Students exhibited their artistic skills in the presentation of programine showed their love & affection towards their teachers.
EVENT : Hindi Diwas
NSS unit of Nirmala College of Commerce in co-ordination with Cultural Commitee on the occasion of Hindi Diwas hadorganised an event of One Act Play Competition on the theme Prayas' on 14 September 2022. In One Act Play competition participants presented various social issues through their act such as Dowry, Gender Discrimination, Environmental issues.etc in an creative way. Overall event was very interesting & informative, 17 students participated in the event.
EVENT : Best out of Waste Competition
On occasion of World Environment Day, to inculcate the habit of availing maximum practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste, Cultural Commince and National Service Scheme Unit of Nirmala College of Commerce, had organized Best Out of Waste Competition on Saturday 25 June 2022 at 9:30 am in block no 5.
18 students participated. The creativity displayed by the students was mesmerizing. The competition promoted artistic fervor in our leaders of tomorrow.
EVENT : Farewell Party
Cultural Committee of Nirmala College of Commerce had organized “ Farewell Party “Not the end only a different beginning” for T.Y.B.Com batch with great enthusiasm and off course nostalgia on 11th April 2022,Monday at 3.00 p.m in the college hall. In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere the students, staff and management bid adieu to the T.Y.B.Com students of 2021-22 Batch.
EVENT : Slogan Competition
On 6th April 2021, Cultural Committee had organised Slogan Competition highlighting COVID 19 preventative measures and symptoms. It gave unique platform to students to create awareness on COVID 19 pandemic by presenting their thoughts in creative manner students participated in the competition.
EVENT : Show Your Talent Competition
With an aim of encouraging creative skills among the students, on 27th March, 2021(Saturday), Cultural Committee had organised Show Your Talent Competition. 11 students participated in the competition with great zeal and excitement showcasing their skills of singing, craft, sahayari, etc. hereby boosting the self-esteem and confidence.
EVENT : Solo Dance Competition
On 26th March, 2021(Friday), cultural committee had organized "Solo Dance" Competition to give students a platform to showcase their dancing skills which is the most expressive from of art. It connects people together and makes them understand ones emotions Three students participated in the completion.
EVENT : Photography Competition
Cultural Committee of Nirmala College had organized "Nature's Photography Competition" on 22 March, 2021, which allowed students o experience things they have not seen themselves, and therefore encourage them to care about its preservation. It was a small way, which elped to raise awareness of the natural world and work to promote its onservation.30 students participants in the event.
EVENT : Nirmala Utsav
Cultural Committee of our college had organised NIRMALA UTSAV from 28 November, 2019 to 30" November 2019.Various competitions were arranged in this programme whic provided them platform to exhibit their skills and talents.The talent show provided opportunity to exhibit their skill through one act play, TikTok competition ,solo dance competition.Demonstrating teamwork Nirmsla Utsav 2019 was not just a place for celebration and festivities but it allowed entire Nirmala family to unite and envision a future.
EVENT : Tie and Saree Day
Tie and Saree Day was organised by Cultural Committee on 7" December, 2019, Students seemed enthusiastic to celebrate this day. Students Participated in large numbers and the dress code was followed by most. They were dressed in beautiful, appealing and colourful sarees by enhancing themselves with a dazzling make-over and boys were in stylish suits, It signifies an aesthetic college tradition especially bonding over the number of years the students has been together. 20 students had participated in the programme.
EVENT : Patriotic Singing Competition
A patriotic singing competition was organised by the cultural committee on the occasion of Independence Day based on the theme," AB TUMARE HAWALE WATAN SATHIYON" on 14 August, 2019. This competition was organised to showcase our solidarity towards the nation.31 students had participated in the singing competition with great enthusiasm and zeal.
EVENT : Friendship Day
The students of Nirmala Degree College of Commerce celebrated Friendship Day" on 10th August, 2019. The students celebrated friendship day based on RETRO THEME with great enthusiasm, music and dance. They put up brilliant dance performances and sang popular songs to celebrate the day showcasing different filmy style attire and presented their favourite actors style.
EVENT : Denim Day
Denim Day was organised by Cultural Committee on 26" July, 2019. Students enjoyed the day very enthusiastically by wearing jeans (denim) and also showed the gesture to raise awareness of rape and sexual assault. 22students had participated in the competition held for Denim Day.
EVENT : Annual Day
Cultural Committee of our college had organised ANNUAL DAY on 18th December, 2018 at Kora-Kendra Ground, Borivali- (W).Various dance forms were presented by the students in this programme which provided them platform to exhibit their skills and talents. Distinguished guests, elite guardians and enthusiastic students made a great combination for the annual day. The programme ceased with a dance performance on “VandeMataram” and ending with “RashtraGeet” creating a feeling of fraternity and integrity amongst the students.
EVENT : Independence Day
A patriotic singing competition was organised by the cultural committee on the occasion of Independence Day based on the theme, ” SARFAROSHI KI TAMANNA”on 14th August, 2018. This competition was organised to showcase our solidarity towards the nation.29 students had participated in the singing competition with great enthusiasm and zeal.
EVENT : Friendship Day
The students of Nirmala Degree College of Commerce celebrated “Friendship Day” on 4th August, 2018. This year the students celebrated friendship day in a special manner by making available friendship bands which are specially made by intellectual disability students from V.D. Indian Society for Mentally Challenged, Malad (W). Students enthusiastically took initiative in this great event. Along with this students also showcased their other talents such as singing, dancing, drawing, mimicry, reciting poems etc. Overall 79 students had participated in this event.
EVENT : Fashion Show
On Third February,2018 Our College had organised Fashion show The show was organised on different themes like Regionalism, Stop pollution,Road safety etc. each group of participants were given specific name. Chief guest for the event was Dr.Sunita Tirke and Mr. Rajesh from Dalmia College of Commerce.There were totally eight groups.In each group there were eight to ten participants. First prize was given to Pari group, Second prize was given to platinum group and third prize was given to prakruti group.
EVENT : Traditional Day
Cultural Committee had organised Traditional Day on Twenty third December,2017. The Traditional Day was organised on the theme Mera Gaon Mera Desh. All the students came in traditional costumes. Competition was organised for the students on this occasion. Participants had to give short description of their culture and tradition. Thirty eight students had participated in the event prize was given for first second and third places.
EVENT : Denim & Chocolate Day
Denim & Chocolate Day was celebrated on Nineteenth December,2017.Students of the college made the statement against sexual assault by wearing a denim.wearing jeans on this day symbolised a protests against erroneous and destructive attitude about sexual assault, harassment,abuse and rape. Students had also shared Chocolates with their friends. Eighteen Student participated in the event. First, Second and third prize was given to the participants with best attire.
EVENT : Singing competition
Singing competition was organised on 16th December,2017. Competition was organised for the students on this occasion. Pueli Mukherjee was the chief guest and judge for the event.Participants sang folk songs, Punjabi songs and traditional songs for the Competition .Twenty four students participated in the event. Prizes were given for first second and third places and Consolation prize was also given.
EVENT : Tie & Saree Day
Tie & Saree Day was celebrated on Ninth December, 2017. Girls came in beautiful sarees and boys came in perfect formal attire with tie .Students had to come on the stage and explain the importance of saree and Tie both. First, Second and third prize was given to the best participants. Thirty four students had participated in the event.
EVENT : Kavi Sammelan
On 9th September 2017 Kavisammelan was celebrated . Student enthusiastically participated in the event. Students recited poem on national integration, love towards their parents, towards their loved ones and nation .participants gave excellent performance. First, second, third and two consolation prize was given to motivate the participants. Twenty six students participated in the event.
EVENT : Independence Day
On 15th August,2017 Independence Day was celebrated .Solo singing competition and Tricolour Day was celebrated on this day. The students celebrated this day with spirit of patriotism and enthusiasm. Twenty three students had participated in the event. prizes were given for first, second and third place.
EVENT : Friendship Day
Cultural Committee had celebrated Friendship Day on Fifth August 2017. Students celebrated Friendship Day with great enthusiasm. Students had shared Chocolates, friendship bands, gifts and greeting cards with their friends .The day ended with sweet gesture of students for their friends and teachers. There were forty- two students who participated in the celebration of Friendship Day.
